BigfootThe Bigfoot is a giant ape said to live in the forests of America and Canada, some call it the Sasquatch. It is one of MANY large ape cryptids seen WORLDWIDE, and one of the most FAMOUS. They are seen all over the place, and bring MANY tourists hopeful to catch a glimpse of the ELUSIVE and MYSTERIOUS animal. More commonly found than their image is their GIANT footprints, which people like to take casts of as mementos. Footprints are UNEXPLAINABLE evidence of Bigfoot's existence. To note is the fact that there are SEVERAL photos of humans comparing their own feet to Bigfoot prints, but none of guinea pigs making the same comparison. I shall fix this immediately. As stated before, Bigfoot is MERELY one of many ape cryptids, so I might as well use this page to describe these beasts also. The YetiThe Yeti is another POPULAR and FAMOUS large ape, living in the Himalayas for hundreds of years. It's seen usually as a LARGE, WHITE ape with an impressive stride. It's also a FIXTURE of local folklore, known to the local people as Meh-Teh and as a rather SPOOKY creature. It is seen as a HOLY beast by some of these cultures. Just like Bigfoot, the most famous PROOF is that of GIGANTIC footprints, this time in the snow rather than mud, the most FAMOUS of which is a very CURIOUS footprint found by esteemed ADVENTURER Eric Shipton on Everest in 1951, causing an EXPLOSION of popularity for the creature. Another famous memento is a Yeti scalp kept in the Pangboche monastery in Nepal, how SPOOKY. Skunk ApeThe Skunk Ape is a smaller, stinkier version of Bigfoot, seen mostly in Florida, with FLUFFY arms similar to that of an orangutan, and PALE face markings. It is of course named for its SMELL which is commonly smelled long before the beast is seen. Sightings of the Skunk Ape date back to the early 1800s, but were most COMMON during the 1960s and 70s, becoming a CULTURAL PHENOMENON during this time. It is now a tourist attraction for those seeking the TRUTH. I, personally, would not go searching for this ELUSIVE beast myself, as a guinea pig I have a rather sensitive little nose.... I'd rather not smell whatever scent the Skunk Ape has to offer... The YowieThe fabled Yowie is a GIANT creature living in the outback of Australia, commonly described as APE-LIKE. It has MANY names given to it by the Aboriginal people, but Yowie is the best known. Sometimes it is described as SHY and AVOIDANT, while other times is known to be AGGRESSIVE and VIOLENT, making it UNPREDICTABLE and all the more MYSTERIOUS. Its appearance is less CONSISTENT than that of the other ape-like monsters, as it is seen more as a folkloric SPIRIT than an animal. |
