18th of May 2025 ---- Hey there, it's been a hot minute! Over six months according to my website stats over on neocities. I didn't intend to leave the site sit and gather dust for this much time but life tends to be busier these days. I genuinely didn't realise it had been that long! Time absolutely flies... Genuinely quite embarrassed that my Halloween stuff has been sat out in the open like that :P> I just finished my second year at university! Due to the fact I went to college for a year first, this means I only have one year left before graduation, which is wild to think about. I've been really busy with work for uni but it's now Summer break and I have a lot more free time, which is a welcome relief. It's not going to be completely clear, the boyf is visiting in July and August for one thing! That said though, I'm definitely going to be trying to catch up on things that I've let slip while I've been busy, including this site. Which, on that note, I've finally updated the Cat Gallery! Thank you to anyone who has sent in a cat drawing, the patience is much appreciated... Do check that out, there's 30 new drawings in the gallery, so the total is now up to 87 total cats! That's an incredible number of cats, far more than I would've expected to receive, so thank you very much! I've enjoyed this social experiment a great deal. It's funny looking back on it and what I wrote for it, as the original page is over a year old now and I have since written two essays for uni about individual perception and phenomenology and it honestly ties quite nicely into what I've been thinking about with this. There are experiences we can't measure, and they vary from person to person, but we all align in one way or another. I dunno, it's interesting. The other big thing that's been absolutely eating up my time, energy and emotional wellbeing has been my guinea pigs. I did have four but sadly my oldest, Rosemary, who was about six years old (we're not 100% sure, she was adopted), had a long bout of illness lasting from about December up until April, at which point she sadly passed. This was devastating but it was also expensive. To add onto this recently another guinea pig of mine, Mooney, has stopped eating for seemingly no reason and I've been having to do supplementary feeding every few hours for about a week now. Hopefully we'll figure that out and fix the issue, but for right now it's definitely difficult, and again I'm having to spend money on vet visits and medication, as well as an x-ray. All of this to say, I've been emotionally and financially drained as of late. But I'm trying to keep positive! It's Summer, it's warm and sunny outside and I'm no longer juggling my personal life with my education, at least for a few months. During the ridiculous rush to get work done near my deadlines (I massively overestimated how much I could get done,,,) I regained a special interest, which was fun. A little irritating as I couldn't indulge while I was working, but fun to rotate around in my mind. That special interest is Elder Scrolls! Do tell me if you'd be interested in an Elder Scrolls subsite, I've played Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim, and I'm currently replaying Oblivion, so I think it would be a fun thing to make. Here, have a silly little doodle I did the other day in appreciation of the item duplication glitch. ![]() (Click the image to see it full sized!) Anywhom, that's all for now, I just wanted to prove I was still alive, and to finally get the cat gallery up to date, I felt really bad about people's submissions sat in my email inbox! I hope you all have a good day, and if you'd be ever so kind, please check out my commissions I have open currently. |
